Attracting well over three hundred people to each event, 10x20x20 continues to be well received by the design community and the public. The diverse list of past presenters has included (but not been limited to) architects, artists, builders, industrial designers, historians, filmmakers and photographers.
The Winnipeg Design Festival is the largest annual event of StorefrontMB and the first festival in the province dedicated to the promotion and celebration of local design culture. This year marks the 6th annual festival and will be held from September 13 to 16. Each year this non-profit festival is curated by a team selected by StorefrontMB.

Manitoba Hydro HID to LED Streetlight Conversion
“Manitoba Hydro is currently engaged in the replacement of all HID Street Lighting luminaires with LED versions in the province of Manitoba. In all a total of over 130,000 luminaires will be replaced from the small 70W HPS used in back lanes to the 1000W MH on the top of 100’ poles. Come out and hear the all about the project, its benefits, challenges, problems and victories. Sam Fay, Project Coordinator will be sharing his experience as he is leading Manitoba Hydro through the conversion process.”

The Dale Henwood Lectureship Fund was established in 1978 in memory of Dale Henwood BID, to bring guest lecturers for interior design students and professionals. This year, The Professional Interior Designers Instituite of Manitoba; the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Architecture Department of Interior Design; the Interior Design Association of Students and Partners Program are pleased to present the lecture in conjunction with the Winnipeg Design Festival
The Northlands FN community is one of four communities in Manitoba that rely solely on diesel generated electricity. A project to move to more distributed energy sources is now underway. Included in the project is a 280 kW solar array, a biomass district heating system and a lake-based geothermal district heating and cooling system.
