What is Lean Project Delivery? Why should I care?

Productivity in the building industry over the past five decades has flat-lined or declined relative to all other non-farm industries – regardless significant innovation and technological advancement. Seventy percent of all projects end over budget and delivered late. The building industry is a fragmented, adversarial process that commonly results in dissatisfied building owners and disappointment or bitterness for everyone involved - designers, builders and suppliers. No one really wins. Research has concluded this lack of productivity is due to a number of root causes. In excess of 50% of planning, design and construction processes is consumed in waste.

The good news! Globally the building industry is adapting Lean principles and methodologies to achieve better results and value for all players. Lean project delivery is a growing competitive advantage for practitioners. The results are documented better project outcomes for owners and more profitable and satisfying results for designers, constructors and supply chain.

Learn how adopting Lean methodologies can improve your bottom line while contributing to greater over-all project value.
